We have two properties within the grounds of a beautiful Georgian rectory in the village of Wakerley. The Forge and the Coach House have both been tastefully converted into ideal temporary accommodation for a business professional relocating to the area, a family needing short-term accommodation or for tourists wanting a central base to explore the heart of England.
Wakerley is conveniently situated in beautiful countryside in the Welland Valley on the Rutland-Northamptonshire border, 4 miles south of Rutland Water. It lies between the Georgian market towns of Stamford, Uppingham and Oakham. Situated just 10 minutes from the A1 and within a 20 minute drive to Peterborough and Kettering, with their fast train links to London, Wakerley makes an ideal base to explore the heart of England. Some of England’s finest cities, including Cambridge and Lincoln, are within an hour’s drive. Just 20 minutes drive from Burghley House, home to the Burghley Horse Trials, the Forge provides the perfect accomodation for attending this world renowned event.
The Forge has an open plan kitchen/sitting/dining room, a mezzanine level double bedroom and a further twin bedded room. There is a bathroom with an over-bath shower.
